The Cathedral Choir

The Cathedral Choir consists of 40 professional and volunteersingers, and 
is responsible for singing at the 11:00 am Mass on Sundays, aswell as for major feast days and diocesan liturgies, such as Ordinations, theChrism Mass, Diocesan Confirmation, and RCIA Commitment Sunday.

In addition, the choir sings for special services and concerts such as theannual Service of Lessons and Carols, and has sung for the diocesan pilgrimageto the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

Rehearsalstake place Thursday evenings, 8:00 - 10:00 p.m.

In2001 the Cathedral Choir was honored to sing as the guest choir at St. Peter'sBasilica in a Papal High Mass celebrated by Blessed John Paul the Great, at thePapal audience, at the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi, at the Basilica ofSt. Mary Major in Rome, and performed a concert for the City of Rome at theChurch of St. Ignatius (right).
